Vegan Chocolate Ice Cream
One of the most common ice cream flavors in the world is chocolate, along with vanilla and strawberry. The problem with these flavors for vegans is that they include dairy or animal-derived products among their ingredients. Therefore, it is often difficult to find vegan alternatives to these desserts.
Ingredients for vegan chocolate ice cream
Fortunately, nowadays other options are available to continue preparing the desserts we love so much. Without relying so much on animal derivatives, such as egg or milk, which are almost always present. Here are the ingredients for this recipe:
Preparation steps
-
First, pour the coconut milk (or the one you have chosen) in a bowl and whisk little by little.
-
As you beat, add the other ingredients little by little. It does not matter the order, although the best would be the cocoa, then the sugar and finally the vanilla essence.
-
When everything is perfectly mixed, then pour all the mixture into a mold or pan.
-
The next step is to make ice cubes. Therefore, it is best to pour the mixture into an ice cube tray. Then you will let it stand for at least 4 hours, although it would be better if it was overnight.
-
The next day, you can eat the product. But first, remove the ice cream cubes and place them in a blender. Blend slowly, pausing every 10 seconds. This process will help to make the ice cream cream creamier.
-
Now all that's left is to simply enjoy your freshly made ice cream or if you want, you can store it again for a little more consistency.

Notes
Notes on the ice cream
In case you want a purer chocolate flavor in your ice cream, you can add a spoonful more to make it more concentrated. In this case of the milk, the one we recommend is coconut milk, but it does not have to be this one. It can be easily substituted by some other vegetable milk, but which is especially creamy. As for the sugar, you can substitute it with another sweetener of your choice.
An excellent way to make the ice cream cream creamier is to add a few bananas (bananas or cambures, depending on how you know them). This will also make the texture of the ice cream thicker in itself.
Finally, of course, this vegan chocolate ice cream can be accompanied with typical toppings to your liking. The most recommended, however, are nuts such as walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts. You can also pour over the ice cream some vegan syrup to your liking, such as cashew syrup. In this sense, there are not so many requirements, other than what you impose yourself.
