Vanilla ice cream without sugar
Vanilla ice cream is one of the most popular and common ice creams around the world. However, it should not be confused with butter ice cream, since in many countries, they are considered the same. In this article, we will show you how you can prepare vanilla ice cream, but without sugar. For a healthier alternative.
Ingredients for vanilla ice cream without sugar
It is important to know that vanilla ice cream and butter ice cream are different. The first one has to have vanilla, the second one is optional. In this case, we are going for a healthy alternative, especially for those people with sugar problems in their bodies. But who still want to eat a dessert. These are the ingredients:
Preparation steps
-
The first thing to do is to pour all the cream into a bowl, preferably a deep one. We will beat it until the cream has a creamy texture. As a recommendation, we will use the highest speed of the mixer.
-
When the cream has the desired texture, we will then add the sweetener of our choice. Or also the honey. In turn, we will add the vanilla essence.
-
Regarding the vanilla pod, we open it and remove all the center of it.
-
With a spatula, we are going to mix, in a smooth and passive way, all the ingredients that we add. It is important to do this, because if we do it quickly, we will make the cream lose all the creamy texture we get.
-
When all the mixture is homogeneous, then the next step is to pour it into a rectangular mold. Cover with clear plastic wrap.
-
We put the mixture in the refrigerator and leave it there for at least 6 hours. Although it would be best to leave it for the whole note.

Notes
Notes on ice cream
One ingredient that is totally optional is vegetable milk, preferably coconut milk, which is the one used in desserts. We do not recommend cow's milk, since for a healthy dessert, it would not be the best for this case. Therefore, we resort to a healthier option, which are vegetable milks. In addition to coconut milk, there is also almond milk or even nut milk.
As for the sweetener, it does not necessarily have to be special sweeteners, as honey can be a good substitute. Contrary to popular belief, honey does not harm the body for patients with diabetes, on the contrary, it is actually quite good.
You can try vanilla ice cream with traditional toppings if you want, although for something healthier, go for the dried fruit option. Of course, syrup is allowed in this recipe if you wish, in the end, it will depend on how you want your vanilla ice cream to be.
