Ingredients for oreo ice cream without condensed milk

In addition to the oreos cookies themselves that are needed to prepare the ice cream, one ingredient that is often a must is condensed milk. Although in principle it may not represent a problem, condensed milk can be a bit harmful for people with sugar problems. That is why we will tell you an alternative with which this ingredient can be substituted to continue making oreo ice cream. These are the ingredients:

Preparation steps

  1. The classic, we will first separate the cream from the cookies, putting in separate containers. Do not eat the cream, because it will be used later, the same for the cookies themselves.

  2. In another bowl we are going to pour the cream (or cream, depending on what you have purchased) and beat it. We will do this as we add the sugar, then add the vanilla essence, beat, then the cream of the cookies, beat again. Finally, add the cream cheese and continue beating. We will do this until the ingredients are well mixed and homogeneous.

  3. We will take two cookie crusts and crush or chop them into small pieces (this will depend on how big you want them). We are going to add those pieces to the previous mixture and stir, here it is not necessary to use a mixer. It is best to use a hand mixer.

  4. With the rest of the remaining cookies, we are going to crush them with a food processor or you can do it manually with a rolling pin.

  5. Finally, you have two options regarding the crushed cookies from the previous step. You can add them to the mixture or you can use them as a topping to sprinkle before eating the ice cream.

  6. In the case of the first one, add the mixture in a container, cover with transparent plastic wrap and put it in the freezer. The mixture should last at least 6 hours, there, every 30 minutes, you should take it out and stir. This is to avoid crystallization.

Notes

Notes on the ice cream

As mentioned in the previous section, you can use the oreo you crushed as a topping. However, a very excellent option is chocolate syrup that will complement quite well with the oreo ice cream itself. You can also complement with other oreo cookies, either the same flavor or vanilla or oreo waffles. Of course, there are also the typical toppings of nuts or chocolate rain.
